EVENTS CALENDAR AUGUST 2008

Happy Hour at Brown’s Fine Art
Thursday, August 7, 5 PM-7 PM :: Brown’s Fine Art in Fondren
Artist Greg Gustafson will be featured at Brown's Fine Art for their monthly "Happy Hour at Brown's." The entertainment will be provided by Jackson musician Raphael Semmes, who is bringing a couple of special guest musicians with him. The event is free to the public and refreshments will be available. Greg Gustafson lives in Memphis and is fast becoming one of the most sought after young artists in the Southeast. His work hangs in galleries in Atlanta, Little Rock, Nashville and Memphis. In 2007, Greg was the #1 selling artist at Brown's, quite a feat since he has only been showing there since December 2005. His paintings of the Mississippi landscape are painted on site at places like Pickwick Lake, Corinth, the Gulf Coast, the Delta and even outside Jackson. His classic "Turner-esque" landscapes have grown in favor by very discerning collectors across the South.
